I've fallen in love with the Instagram app. It's like magic. I've always been a bit interested in photography and this app does such nice things with the relatively low-quality iPhone camera that I've been taking tons of pics. Of course, I associated the Instagram account with my Facebook account and it's all very non-anonymous.  I think I've figured out how to get just the pics up on this account, so I will be sharing some of my non-touristic views of DC.

Here's one from this morning:

I finally managed to go for a run today for the first time in a month. Whew. I wasn't even that exhausted (I liberally interspersed walking, but I ran 9 minute intervals, so I don't feel bad about my stamina at all). I am so pleased that I can still run at all after such a long layoff. I have a million reasons for taking the time off, but what's the point of listing them? I'm going to start up again because...and this is the crazy part...I actually like running. The only plan is that I will run no more than every other day. I think this is the way to prevent injury. The problem is that by not doing it every day it's easier to fall out of the habit. Oh well. That's the chance I'll have to take.

Ok, back to work!

Grateful for: new technology.
