This week is going to wear me out. I am busy every night. I shouldn't complain--it's good to be busy and social--but it's also exhausting. I always need a little time to regroup at the end of the day and I take it, even if it means that I stay up past my bedtime.
On Tuesday, I went to the ballgame (Mariners!) with a big, fun group. The night worked out really well and I got a decent amount of biking in for the day (about 4 miles). I was home late and didn't sleep until maybe 1am. Whoops.
Last night, I met up with my Parisian landlords and their kids (3.5yo & babe in arms) for dinner at an Ethiopian place. It was great to see them, they're lovely people, and their daughter was crazy about the live music and dancing that coincided with our visit.
Tonight, I'm going to two documentaries in two rather distant (from each other) places. Why? I don't know, it just worked out this way.
Friday, probably dinner with Frieda.
Saturday, morning errands, then an afternoon movie (another documentary).
Sunday, I'll vist Larry, my ailing/recovering old boss.
I am seriously lacking sleep at the moment, feeling a bit off (slightly dizzy?) and could really do with a nap. I like that I have all these new friends and interesting activities on my plate, I only wish it could be spread out a bit more. Or--forget it, that's how it works. When it rains it pours and I'm going to be grateful for the rain. I tell you what, my life really needs it.
Grateful for: the rain.
