I held the baby:

I knit a vest for the baby:

Go baby go! Grow baby grow?

Pele's baby is my infant twin. She took the same amount of time to be born, was born at almost exactly the same time of day, and came out huge. Baby's stats: 9 pounds 13 ounces, 22 inches. My baby stats: 9 pounds 13.5 ounces, 22.5 inches. Yes, my mom gives me the win, but I say it's close enough. Plus, the baby is a champion nurser, got it right off the bat, much like yours truly. It is no coincidence that I can't stop knitting for her. She will be a sweater, hat and scarf-loving child if I have anything to say about it.

Grateful for: getting to meet my infant twin the day after she was born.

  1. So, at risk of sounding like an idiot, do you have pennies laying around all over your condo, or is that a knitting/scale thing? Congrats to Pele!

  2. Anon11: You are not the first person to ask and here is the answer:
    1) I do have pennies all around--they are cat toys.
    2) Given that I have pennies laying all around, I've started purposefully including them in the knitting pics for scale.

    Pele thanks you.

  3. I'm sure this baby will never be lacking a sweater as long as she knows you. Congratulations to mother and baby!
