Work is boring

Today, I don't want to be here. I want to be home, sitting on my sofa, knitting and barely paying attention to a pleasant, boring, BBC tv series. Instead, I'm running from one meeting to the next. My first meeting was at 10:30 with my super-supervisor. She stood me up. Whew. The second meeting went only half the scheduled time. Hooray! Starting at 3pm, I have three in a row. We will see how that goes.

Due to unmentionable things, I've had to take some time at home resting this week. It's been very nice and I've been very lazy. As a result, I canceled all the evening activities I had this week including softball on Monday, ushering on Tuesday, and knitting on Wednesday. One of the potentially most busy weeks of the month was basically canceled. I have no plans for tonight or Friday and I think I'll keep it that way. Saturday, I have to get on a plane at 2:45pm and start a work trip. I could also go to a 10:30am softball game, but I've decided against it. First, I'm not really an asset to the team and second, it would make me crazy. Nope, instead of getting out and running around for an hour or so, like I should, I will sit home, finish packing, and laze around before getting a taxi to the airport. Makes me smile just thinking about it.

Grateful for: a reason to be lazy.
